What you'll learn
The video is broken into four chapters so you can jump to whatever you need. If you're a brand-new resident setting things up for the first time, watch it start to finish. If you're coming back to handle a specific task, use the chapter links above to skip ahead.
Chapter 1 — Getting started as a resident. What ShieldMyLot does for you at your property, and how to access your portal for the first time. Most residents reach the platform via a QR code at the leasing office or a registration link from their property manager.
Chapter 2 — Registering your vehicles. Adding your first vehicles during signup, what gets approved automatically vs reviewed by your property manager, and how to add more vehicles later if your household needs change.
Chapter 3 — Issuing a visitor pass. When friends, family, or contractors visit, you can issue them a temporary pass so they don't get towed. The video walks through the form, how long passes last, and the rules your property has set for visitor parking.
Chapter 4 — If your vehicle gets towed. What to do if you believe your vehicle was towed in error. The platform supports dispute requests, and your property manager reviews them.
